The headline says it all, Putin's thugs are pillaging their way across Ukraine and what's all over the news? A 9 minute bash with a slice of cake that under the rules of the time was probably legal anyway. We've gone mad.

When i made my cup of morning tea, i didnt stop to think that in some parts of the world people do not have clean water, can't make a cuppa and therefore feel guilty about drinking it. Just like people shouldn't be made to feel guilty about thinking what a cluster our government are, just because someone elses govt is doing something worse //
I am please someone else is posting this piece of simple logic, I seem to do it every time someone gets het up because they think the level of one piece of news directly affects the level of another, as though news is a Swiss weather house.
You cannot compare in this way, and then suggest that because 'this' is not so bad, 'that' is worse because it is also being discussed.
That's not how news, or debate, works.

A fair point.
Unfortunately, with our modern society edging ever close towards terminal outrage, the inability of some people to understand that there is actually a limit to how many times people can be angry about something, before their anger simply ceases to be meaningful, and becomes white noise.

// Are we only allowed one News story at a time?//
yes - - this is AB
and the bossier AB stalwarts ( the usual suspects that is!) can say which one is the newsiest....and do!
and Billy Bunter fat git Boris, tucking into cream cakes
( crikey and saying - non est finis rei publicae (*))
does NOT prevent us from applauding and or wondering about the Ukrainians holing a ship.
( = this is not the end of the Fat Boys reign!
and "this is an elenchus, this is!" = a small mistake and also incredibly, its correction )
