Wont say much for their character if they dont resign.
"Labour's lockdown lies: Angela Rayner WAS at Keir Starmer's 'beergate' event despite Party denying it... as MPs tell how she joked about using Sharon Stone ploy at PMQs and leader apparently flouted guidance at his own birthday bash... with cake"

* Boris is investigated by the police, found to have broken the rules and fined; i.e. all rules were not followed, even by him (he did attend a party), let alone everybody else
* Boris does not challenge the police's conclusions, he agrees with them, and apologises for hours on end, very contritely (he then immediately attends a private meeting of Tory MPs at which he's not sorry at all, to the enragement of Steve Baker)
* Boris refuses to admit this shows he lied to Parliament, his defence being that he didn't realise he was at a party at the time but he now agrees that he was and he's very sorry (yeah right)
This is our Prime Minister, the best that we have got!
Starmer and Rayner are still being investigated, but even if found "guilty" ...
* they never lied to Parliament as Boris did
* it just means that the state of politics in our country is even worse.

I find this curious.
BJ having a meeting in his workplace, interrupted by a cake for 9 mins by people he works with, which didn't leave the box, and no booze involved = bad, so very very bad.
(Gromit has mentioned 30 people, but there's just as many reports stating it was under 10 people).
SKS in an office, which is not his work place, with people he doesn't usually work with, has a takeaway and booze with them = that's OK.
People who state the former is bad but the latter isn't, are just being contrary for the sake of it.

It's quite simple. Lying to Parliament is a resignation offence.
As for Starmer and Rayner, "the event took place in the Durham constituency office of the local MP Mary Foy in the run-up to the Hartlepool by-election." That's a place of work. Whether they were working or not is under investigation, but you might ask why else would they be in that neck of the woods at that time?
