I cannot work out whether that Mail link is just badly written, or they are confused.
In the week of the by election in Hartlepool, it is perfectly reasonable that the Labour Leader and Deputy Leader used the same local office. There are loads of photos of Starmer anf Rayner campaigning together there such as this one widely published at the time.

Of course they were in Durham together.

The Mail publishes a photo of her waving at them (presumably from a different location). She was either on a conference call or doing the online quiz, but from another building.
She does not appear in the video of Starmer drinking from a bottle.
Looks like a desperate attempt to concoct something out of nothing.

Funny how when Labour MPs are caught drinking in someone else's office critics are making 'something out of nothing' but when Boris is given a birthday cake in his own office one could be forgiven for thinking it's practically a hanging offence. :o)

There is a false equivalence being made in comparing the birthday party in Downing Street with 30 guests, and a video of Starmer with 4 other people drinking a beer.
Starmer was working at the Durham office on Labour’s campaign for the Hartlepool by election.

Johnson has not been investigated for drinking at the Downing Street bring your own booze garden party, he is being investigated for meeting with 18 others when the rules said only 6 people could meet.

Boris was in his own house and workplace with people he worked with everyday, Starmer travelled across the country to an office with people he never knew.

@12.44.I agree with you Gulliver(for a change).Starmer didnt have anything to do with this legislation.Both Wee Burney up here in Scotland,and Bojo down in England both passed this legislation.And both flouted their own rules.Nationalists,eh.

Not that I agree with carrying this on, I did it to counter Hynies continual flow of 'same' posts ynnafymmi but Starmer was right in there pressing the PM to go further.

So yes, he is just as culpable.

...and all the photographic evidence,ellipsis.Labour denied Rayner was at the party,Bojo denied he was at any parties,Wee B denied she was in any shops without a mask on.They all lied.Surely we Brits deserve better than these lying scum.
