It's hot so what? gawd there are counties in the world that are like this every day, they don't close schools and have national emergency. Same when it snows, why are we so carp at weather? I never had a day off school for weather, ever and I was at school in 1976.

Normal runways are coping perfectly well. There is however no point in arguing with those of you absolutely wallowing in the drama. By the way tarmac roads also melted in 1976 and probably many other days since. Yes it's hot but no hotter than many experience on our Med summer holidays.

Update on the Cambuslang situation from yesterday.

Sitting in the shade of a trailer and showing 33C on my dash.

The fridge is banging away good style and has managed to get the load space down to 23C. No aircon for the wage slave though.
