What has struck the most with the five candidates is how uninspiring, how, bland, mechanical and boring they are. I haven't, yet, heard an interesting idea nor have I heard any sense of humour. Surely one of them must have one interesting idea, or something to make us smile.

Sunak comes across as slimy ,and greasy. Not a lot unlike the one he is trying to takeover from , there would be very little change.
//I disagree with all Badenoch’s politics//

Well that shows she is in the right direction.

//do you believe in anything except being anti-left?//

Nothing to do with that. Would you be happy with a Labour PM giving out ideas that Conservatives all thought were good? I somehow think the average labour voter wouldn't be happy.
I want Truss as I think she’d be very firm on Ukraine.
I dislike Sunak’s manner but I think he’d be a good PM
I fear Mordaunt might be a female version of Johnson but who knows.
I like Tugendhat but suspect he has no chance sadly.
Badenoch is a bit too right wing for my liking but I read somewhere that she’s actually the favourite with the members currently. Which I suspect means she’s doomed.
I haven't watched the debates but I saw a bit of one on the news last night and that confirmed my original thoughts. They are an absolute shower, not one worthy or capable of doing the job they're scrapping over with any degree of expertise, or from what I saw, dignity. Why they need to air their differences on a public forum is anyone's guess, but the result is shameful to watch and simply compounds the embarrassment they've already exposed this country to on the world stage with their self-serving treachery. They will be the authors of their own demise.
I would have thought Badenoch your cup of tea naomi
“ Would you be happy with a Labour PM giving out ideas that Conservatives all thought were good?”

I would judge their ideas based on their quality and effectiveness not whether or not my bete noirs agreed with them… what a telling way of wording!
Untitled 09.36 ..Boris is the only one for Naomi..
so who are you hoping for Gully?
..........."Tugendhat",,,,,,,,
9.36 Oh god,
> At the last election the country decided the Tories should be the ruling party with Boris Johnson as PM.

When was the last time a Prime Minister both gained office through a general election and left office through a (later) general election?
No matter who is the coming Tory PM it will be a very short experience . ,,,come the next G/E it will be goodbye Tory Party.
he’s hoping for latecomer and maverick Norris Snogson of course… a well-fed gentleman with blonde hair and a great big black moustache
These Borefests should not be on primetime telly.
The public are not really interested in the process, they just want it sorted out quickly.

If someone is a Conservative Party member they should be up to speed on who the next Prime Minister should be already. There should be one vote by MPs and the top 2 should then be balloted to party members.

This slow dragged out affair is cringingly boring. It is like watching a not very good reality TV show.
gulliver: "No matter who is the coming Tory PM it will be a very short experience . ,,,come the next G/E it will be goodbye Tory Party. " - wanna bet?
TTT @ 10.18 .. Thought my post @ 10.02 would send you into orbit TTT..... lol.
“When was the last time a Prime Minister both gained office through a general election and left office through a (later) general election?”

It was John Major. And before that Ted Heath. Which makes you think ….
Actually you can’t really even count John Major
Exactly. It was Ted Heath.
It was Ted Heath, Major did actually unexpectedly win an election though. Kinnochio was favourite but he sabotaged his own campaign days before the vote.
