Who was sitting on the front bench maybe 2 persons away from Boris………… truss. ?

It would certainly have to be pretty mysterious: the next PM is also forced to resign and BJ stands for the leadership again, miraculously regaining the trust of the scores of MPs who have just rejected him.
And all before the next election in less than two years!

I would have said 2 spaces away, not persons.

FatticusInch, worth noticing that your critisisms of BJ were pretty much unrelated to the job and so are likely to be short term annoyances resulting in acting in haste and regretting later when it's realised what was actually achieved.

All of that is pretty irrelevant. It's the ability to govern effectively, especially when under fire, that has value. Hopefully the country won't regret whichever candidate takes over from him, but if they do they may realise what an error removing BJ had proved to be.
