no reason to suppose they're "wrong", barry, they're opinion polls. Actual polls betore elections aimed at predicitng the result by asssessing voters' intentions often go astray because voters lie. But there's no reason for them to do so at the moment.

Polls can be accurate at the time, but so far from a general election they plainly are not predictions. As I indicated above.

In the 44736 days since labour was founded, they have been in power for 8722, 19.5%. The Tories have had 25090 days, 56.1%. Now I know who my money is on for the next GE.

It's mid term post/mid crises. Plenty of time for the Tories to get back and win. Labour need Scotland to have any chance. I'll still take a bet if anyone wants it.

I think often when people are asked how they would vote they say Labour.

However when it comes to the day they remember previous Labour governments, and just can't do it.

Leads always lessen the near we get to an election. There is never a clear favourite even when the election has been called.
Even with this poll, I would say the Conservatives must be favourites to win the next GE. They have a huge majority and can afford to lose 50 seats, and still be the victors.

Problem is they’ve had a string of them since Johnson got the job though.
Covid aside, 2 and a half years of mismanagement, scandal, a slew of resignations over the PM’s behaviour, record-breaking by election losses and a PM ousted for lying, on top of which we have cost of living, NHS and heating crises.
Keep re-cycling the same old garbage, things are bad and it’s k my going to get worse.
The country has had enough of shareholders and executives getting eye-watering payouts and bonuses as they see a drop in their living standards year on year.
12 years of being told ‘we are all in this together’ by multi-millionaires has taken its toll and everyone has had enough.
Tories are toast at the next election, they’ll never recover in time.
Save your silly bets for fuel over the winter, you’re gonna need it because Mrs Flip-Flop couldn’t organise a pillow fight in a dormitory.
