Answerbank disappoints once again...where is the Iranian thread?

Finished work early to watch England V Iran.


Wanted to see how England were going to show their disapproval to certain events .... disappointed with England.

It's for racial equality Roy, it was just taken over by Black Lives Matter. Regardless, any visable protest/support when in a country like Qatar is worthwhile. If it makes the Qatari regime (or indeed the Iranian regime) look over their shoulder even a little, then all power to the players.

I've skimmed most of this first page and it's still unclear to me what the complaint is.

Rationally it should be about a racist England side performing an admission of their racism before the match (that I thankfully managed to miss).

Or it could be that the English team didn't sing the Iranian national anthem. Or maybe that they took heed of the red card threat and opted not to wear armbands. We all know what happened and what didn't happen, unsure why a thread was expected.
