So How Many Will Die........

thats a bit of a silly statement!
Touche!
Well in the West Midlands 37 have already died because ambulances were late/unavailable. The situation may improve if folks forget about the ambulances and make their own way to hospital (or a relative takes them).
There is plenty 'in the pot' when the government want to give themselves a pay rise or give back-handers to their buddies.

09.29 Absolutely true! pensioners cannot harp on about increase in the pension not being enough, then tell other working professionals to just tighten their belts.
//10,000 ambulance workers - including paramedics, control room staff and support workers - will strike across most of England and Wales on 21 and 28 December.//

Their strikes haven't started yet.

It's not a statement - it's a question, and it's not silly at all. In the absence of ambulances and vital medical care it stands to reason that some will suffer.

A 10% rise on a £7000 pension doesn't really count for as much as a 10% rise on a £30,000 salary.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander!

Fair dos - so we all get a £700 raise or we all get a £3000 raise. I'll agree to that.
10% is 10% and working professionals have a lot more outgoings than retired people.
^Quite right.

Redhelen: "So How Many Will Die........

thats a bit of a silly statement! " - so you don't think ambulance staff going on strike is likely to cause any deaths then? Right oh!
One can not reasonably expect a good deal at present. To repeat that which is often pointed out: we have been through a pandemic (some seem to think we still are going through it) during which poor political decisions 'devastated' the economy and hit the public coffers hard; and on top of that, there is a foreign war waging in which we are supporting the attacked side, which gives major issues with housing genuine refugees and is a further direct drain on resources. All have to accept the better times are some way in the future, the present is for coping in times of need. Those living now are not any worse off that those who lived in the past, we need to accept that.

That said, of course one of the government's jobs is to provide in cases of real need, and to find the resources to do so from those individuals and commercial concerns achieving a good income from being part of today's society.
They will still attend life threatening calls
Reading this post really cheers me up. :0) Just hope the Air fryer production staff dont go on strike.:0)
Arh Notnicebloke1
How are ya :0))))
Nicebloke @ 10.41 What's cooking for dinner today for in the Air Fryer.
I wonder .

And the Union Leaders lose £0!
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. And the usual suspects on here see nothing wrong with that

Ambulance services - certainly in some areas - are dire. Shameful actually. I've waited 11 hours for an ambulance in normal times so running in a skeleton staff isn't likely to enhance the situation.
