Rendering unexploded bombs harmless is a very hazardous operation. This one went off unexpectedly, fortunately nobody hurt.

These things are still bloody dangerous even after over 75 years.

Hats off to the bomb disposal squad.

It is frightening that it has been there all these years. It could have exploded at any time, killing people.

Fortunately no but I sure as hell would if told to.

It's just army shell.
A lot of the residents probably chipped in to stop them defusing it, it would have done millions of pounds worth improvements to Great Yarmouth
I wouldn’t be surprised if there are more in that river. It sat undisturbed for all those years in the mud until they started dredging. They won’t get a dredging company to contract again now!



No one was hurt. A good job done.
