the arrest of these people cannot be defended by anyone who wishes to live in a democratic pluralistic society... they arranged their protest months in advance and liaised with the police regularly. Yet they were arrested immediately and without cause... as were a women's safety group in posession of rape alarms
now anyone who seeks to protest peacefully will be subject to arrest... though i somehow suspect that this will not end up applying to causes popular among tories. a step in a very bad direction.
