"The truth is we're in one hell of a mess ,in post Brexit Britain" GDP is less than France, Germany, the Netherlands, and even Ireland and Lithuania. The poorest 20% of Britain are now poorer than the poorest 20% of Poland. (There you go then)

Rejoining is an aspiration but not likely anytime soon.
People with short memories have forgotten it took a generation for us to be admitted to the EEC, the French using a Veto to keep us out.

Even if the UK public have changed their minds and they want to rejoin, it would take a decade or more for that to happen, and it would be on less favourable terms than we had when we left.

The best thing to happen now would be to elect a Government that can make Brexit a success. The present one seem unwilling to try, or are just not any good at it.

Chris Patten pointed to Brexit as the single biggest reason that the UKs economic prospects were in the Toilet .It's because of what Brexit did to the value of the pound and making it more difficult to import goods and import Labour, and importing food now is costing £7billion more because we are outside the EU.

But I just wish they would fess up to the fact that they will have to tell the people what they are going to have to put up with in the next few years . Because it's going to be very tough getting out of the hole Brexit has put Britain in.
