Tony Blair could return to front line politics ...when Starmer wins the next election.
He could return as one of the most powerful figures in politics. And this prospect has sparked Hope of a closer link with the EU.The Tony Blair institute for global changes proposes for a new special partnership between UK and EU. Think this would upset a few abers if it happened....

The next election will result in the demise of the Tory Party.
......Victory for Labour ...That will result in a coalition of Keir Starmer as PM with Tony Blair as his chief adviser . .....and closer ties with the EU.
There you go then... Job done.
//Job done.//
Is that a promise?
Gulliver, if by some freak chance Labour end up as one half of a coalition, that isn't victory. It's limping home.
Question Author
09.46 Naomi. Not a coalition of two political parties , but a coalition of two great leaders.....get it..
Who would they be then ... these two great leaders?
Question Author
09.56. Well it ain't gonna be Sunak or Johnson......That's for sure.
Gulliver, you live in a dream world.
Question Author
10.08 You are the one in the "Dream World " Naomi.
Dreaming of Boris making a come back . Even Blair has more chance of that.
gulliver, This, from Tony Blair, was posted here earlier.

“I can't come into frontline politics. There's just too much hostility, and also there are elements of the media who would literally move to destroy mode if I tried to do that.”

Why don't you believe him?

(Interesting to note that he's quite aware that the media has the ability to destroy. Funny that).
Just seeing his name makes me feel sick.
Question Author
10.45 Not half as sick as I feel when I see Johnsons Ugly head on TV
Question Author
Naomi 10.22.Yes I do believe what Blair said because he in not a serial Liar like Boris. What Blair said was he is not aiming to come back into Front line politics. but as a special adviser
Maybe it could be modelled on some of the special partnerships that have formed on Answerbank over the years, you know, the ones where like-minded sorts form a loose alliance to promote their views, criticise their 'enemies' and metaphorically perform hygiene operations with their virtual tongues on spokespersons-in-chief.

Maybe not though. :-)
Where did he say he was coming back as a special advisor, Gulliver?
Question Author
Douglas @ 12.20 Plenty of those sort on here, especially amongst the Brexit and Tory supporters.
Question Author
When Labour do get elected at the next election this will be the time for.... "Levelling up" .....The House of Lords.
Where the Cons have swamped it with their peers.
Lets get some in.
Gully - get your historical facts right...Tony Bliar was NOT the youngest PM ever' - that honour goes to William Pitt the Younger who was PM aged 24 back in 1783 and he was old enough to read your namesake's author's travel book.
and Rishi was younger than the Toe when he became PM.....albeit it close and also close was Cameron.
