or at least being economical with the truth. Mr Farage's account was closed for political reasons and the views Mr Farage hold do not align with Coutt's. Going under the financial threshold had little to do with their decision. I hope he takes them to court as a result of unproved malicious allegations and slurs made against him.

An apology but no confirmation that they’re reopening his account.
In that apology, there is no retraction of the reason for closing his account – only a statement that it is absolutely not the bank’s policy to exit a customer on the basis of legally held political and personal views (and not that the bank exited him for this reason).

The documents Farage obtained showed the bank described him as having ‘xenophobic, chauvinistic and racist views’ citing his comments on Brexit, and friendship with Donald Trump – all of which is true.

So unless you can provide proof of that retraction of the reason for closing his account (not meeting the required financial criteria) – people are going to agree with me that Farage is indeed a fool.
//people are going to agree with me that Farage is indeed a fool//

Some fool !!
Hymie, you're making a fool of yourself.
In essence, Coutts closed Farage’s account because he no longer met their financial criteria for having an account with them (and told him as much) – and told him what a dick he is.

Maybe they should have realised, telling him that he is a complete dick would upset him – but being a dick was not the reason they closed his account.

A man who stood alone, took on the banks and won. Not just for himself but at least 10,000 other people and small business concerns that do not possess his high profile and voice.
He has opened up a can of worms and has the banks quivering because of their shameful actions and particularly the down right lies that have been published by the BBC who were promoting the spin of Coutts. He has shaken the banks to the core with their malpractice and breaches of customer confidentiality . There are going to be several enquiries that Dame Rose will be answering to and the BBC are yet to apologise for lies they have published.
He is no fool and stood up for the small people who haven't got a voice. There are at least 10,000 people who should be grateful for his stance and applaud him.
Hymie, this from a suitably left-leaning publication which should suit you admirably.

//The head of NatWest has apologised to Nigel Farage for what she called “deeply inappropriate comments” about the former Ukip leader in an internal report that led to the closure of his accounts at the group’s exclusive private bank, Coutts.//

Which bit of //“deeply inappropriate comments” about the former Ukip leader in an internal report that led to the closure of his accounts// don't you understand?

//but being a dick was not the reason they closed his account.//

The bank had NO justifiable reason to close his account. The bank has now admitted that. Rose has half apologised and stated she will review the bank's closure policy now she will be held accountable for her banks malpractice
If the BBC lied, that is their problem, but if the bank closed his account for legitimate reasons I don’t see Farage having a complaint against them (other than pointing out that he is a dick).

Its Nigel actually.
Hymie, try to keep the discussion grown up. You've got it wrong but calling Mr Farage childish names doesn't help your case. It's becoming a bit tedious.
If the bank had no justifiable reason for closing Farage’s account – why did the bank’s report say that he no longer met the financial requirements to hold an account with them?
Hymie, you seem to be the sole person who thinks NF lost his accounts because of insufficient funds.
I think you need to & listen & read the MSM more, or seek help.
^^^
That’s what the Bank’s report stated, so unless they retract it I would assume they are standing by it.
Do you think the Coutts were lying in their report – stating that Farage no longer met their financial requirements to hold an account with them?
Hymie, whether Mr Farage meet the bank's wealth criteria or not - and I don't know - it's been established that other customers fall short and they haven't been cancelled. Now can you tell me which bit of “deeply inappropriate comments” ...'led to the closure of his accounts' ... you don't understand? They are the bank's words.
Maybe the BBC is saying that, but the financial expert in the youtube video clearly stated that the bank’s report stated that the account was closed because Farage no longer met their criteria for having an account with them – and she (the financial expert) had clearly read the bank’s report.

So someone has not got their facts correct.
Hymie, stop digging. Read the bank's words.
So the financial expert is mistaken, having read the bank’s report?
