Who is Charlotte Owen ? Why did Boris Johnson make this 30 year old young lady the youngest peer in the house of Lords .She is now a Baroness. And why did Boris when he was London mayor give £126,000 of tax payers money to another attractive young lady .Jennifer Arcuri. What have these two young ladies done to deserve such rewards from Boris. ?

I understand the peerage system to be an acknolwdgement / reward for a lifetime of political service - and i am finding it difficult to understand why a woman only slightly older than my granddaughter qualifies.

You need a length of time to actually serve - something Baroness Owen clearly does not, and cannot have.

No-one kicked up a fuss in 2022 when Boris nominated another political advisor--Ross John Kempsell for a peerage and he was only 31 yrs.old. He became Baron Kempsell in 2023. Is it because Charlotte Owen is a pretty ,blonde female, Gully?

Andres - I kicked up just the same fuss for just the same reason - gender is not the issue.

I didn't debate it on here, but the present Mrs Hughes had her ears well pinned back when I read about that particular piece of political malpractice.
