an israeli airstrike is confirmed to have hit an orthodox christian church where hundreds of palestinian christians were taking shelter including elderly people women and children... 16 fatalities are so far confirmed but clearing of the rubble has only just begun

israel claims that a hamas command centre was "nearby"

how can this be a justifiable means of self-defence?

I'm so upset .lofty. If you have no respect for the spoken word or the speaker it doesn't matter at all . 🤗

Your right Anne.

Only thing,  we must keep a watch out for the mod .

The airstrike did not hit the church. No-one was killed or even bruised in the church.

"Look mate I was actually trying to be nice and show you why people think what they do about you.  "

what people think about me personally is not the subject of this thread and is frankly of no interest to me... i have laid out my opinions here in extremely plain english and i think they are quite reasonable.

Yeah but what about

The airstrike did not hit the church. No-one was killed or even bruised in the church.

this statement by caritas internationalis

You're comming across as a mouthpiece for Hamas

The claims from what evidence I have seen are untrue.

come on boys, real up - - ( get real in PP speak)

we know that there can occur collateral damage which can be disastrous (*)

the only q here is that "did it occur in this case?"

Lordie - dear old AB teetering, yes teetering on the usual Ab illogic - "there was no collat damage here therefore it never occurs"

ah... bless you all.

(*) like the shell-huis raid in copenhagen 1945

they got the gestapo headquarters in the er shell-huis, but also the academie Jeanne d'Arc adjoining, zeroing countless little school girls

Question Author

erm even the IDF admit they hit the place roy... and the christian orthodox church itself has nothing to do with hamas... you are just saying whatever you want to be true because you cannot come up with an argument

You will have a link then?

Thanks for the link proving  the church wasn't bombed.

"

GAZA, Oct 20 (Reuters) - A Greek Orthodox church in the Gaza Strip which was sheltering hundreds of displaced Palestinians was hit overnight by an Israeli air strike, the Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem said, and Palestinian health officials said 16 people were killed.

There was no word from the Church on a death toll.

The Israeli military said a part of the church was damaged in a strike on a militant command centre and it was reviewing the incident."

is the gist

Question Author

Here is a video of the church after a bomb hit it... it has some interviews with people who were in it when it was bombed too
