Another Campus Shooting In The Land Of The Free
Seems endemic over the pond.
Police say the suspect was found dead, so they can't be questioned as to why. Musn't interfere with their right to bear arms of course.

There's an average of almost 2 a day, 695 in 2022 for example, they only report a few of them. I don't think there is a fix.

The problem is everyone is fixated on the gun aspect. Now whilst I do agree there is no need for everyone to run around with AK's, the guns themselves are not the underlying problem.
We (The West) need to understand what drives people to do this, ok we dont get it with guns but we do see it manifest in other ways, cars, machettes explosives for starters. Something must have changed over the years that drives people to take revenge (maybe?) or is it simply becasue we dont lock up people who display the characteristics of an unstable person these days? Or something else entirely
Guns, like everything else, wear out, so the number will diminish with time as long as they concentrate on blocking supply.
Other weapons aren't really comparable as they don't kill or main at a distance, and neither can they kill at the same rate. One doesn't decide not to tackle one major issue just because there is another issue around.
