He Might Not Have Done It? Right Oh!

He was already on bail for assault and threatening to kill her! Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs. I hope the apologists are having a little iternal review.
Why was he on bail? Why wasn't the scum in the slammer? I think we know, once again someone dies because we are petrified of offending muslims. Madness.

AH: "Jack - I know you as a seasoned and highly intelligent contributor to the site, and I am happy to accept your reasoned argument over the bloodthirsty, raving, tub-thumping, vigilante trash pedaled by the usual suspects." - even one who is correct? Keep defending the terrorists me old china, they may leave you till last when they start beheading the infidel!
You argue with TTT and dave that black is white and soon as JTH enters the debate with her wisdom you start the flattery and roll over like a little puppy. As 91.04% of Bangladeshi are muslim it is fair to say they were likely to be muslim ( Assailant and victim) You won't have it from TTT but you accept JTH with the nauseating flattery you can muster.I know what capitulate means when a loser realises the fact.
retrocop - // You argue with TTT and dave that black is white and soon as JTH enters the debate with her wisdom you start the flattery and roll over like a little puppy. //
I haven't argued 'that black is white' with anyone.
I have argued two simple facts -
1. - There is no evidence that I am aware of, at the time of writing, that the suspect is a Muslim.
2. - At the time of writing, he has not been charged, or tried, or convicted, or sentenced.
Those are the only points I have made, and the only points I have argued when challenged.
As far as acknowldging jack's perspective, if you feel jealous, I can't really help you with that.
// Habibur Masum, from Burnley, was charged on Wednesday, after a four-day manhunt ended in his arrest early on Tuesday morning.
He is scheduled to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Four other men aged in their 20s were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and drug offences. //
davebro - // The crime is the reason for his arrest. His culture & religion may be relevant to his committing the crime. //
Whenever this argument is raised, I make the same point, and it has been the reason for my participation in this debate to date -
TTT in particular is always keen to link the notion of Islam, and its teaching, to the reasons and motivations behind actions like this.
My point, which I will make yet again, remains exactly the same as always -
People don't murder people because they are Muslims, they murder people because they are mentally deranged to one degree or another.
Now one of the ways a mentally deranged person is able to look at themselves in the miror and avoid the distressing situation whereby they have to say to their reflection - "I am a deeply disturbed and utterly horrible human being and I deserve to rot in jail for the rest of my worthless life because of the horrific things I have done." - they can cloak their actions under a false umbrella of religious bigotry.
That enables them to say "I have done this because I am commanded by Allah / God / The Man In The Moon / Other (select as appropriate, whatever makes you feel good)" and that gives them the getout they need to be able to live with themselves.
If it is that this man claims to be a Muslim, and offers this as his defence for his behaviour, then it perfectly illustrates my point.
But let's be in no doubt here - he will not be offering his faith as an excuse for his crime in the real belief that anyone will accept it, and nod understandingly.
It will simply allow him to carry on living his miserable life by justifying (to himself and any others of a similarly psychotic persuasion) that he did the right thing by his faith.
The simple truth is, human nature's default position is that we are hardwired to think the best of ourselves, it's part of being human.
Therefore we will always find a good reason to convince ourselves that our behaviour is right and proper, because that allows us to live with ourselves.
But that does not mean that such a comfort mechanism is valid, or based on anything approaching the truth.
I do not believe that Islam literally intends for 'honour killings' to be carried out, any more than any Christian seriously thinks about giving away everything they possess because 'God will provide'.
We take the bits of religion that fit what we want to do.
Sadly, there are aspects if Islam that psychopaths think give them a free pass to murder people.
But that does not mean that we shoud accept it as real.
And, more importantly, we should not glibly accept it and shrug our shoulders and say "It's just what Muslims do ... " as some on here are wont to do.
It's not, and it's lazy bigoted thinking to bracket everyone together and say they are acting 'to type'.
It belongs in the same section as 'Innocent until proven guilty' - which are the twin points I have raised, and defended, throughout this particular debate.
