Seems we are fast heading to a theocracy rather than a democracy.  Ladies get those headscarfs and long dark dresses out.  And LGBT, well.....

Politics is often about compromise.  As Labour needs these votes they'll move to try to secure them.

The British government shouldn't be compromising on anything to kowtow to a section of society that prefers - and demands -  a different system.  If they want Sharia there's nothing stopping them moving to a country where that dictates the laws.

personally, I think standing up to China is much more urgent. But to answer your question: I will not be getting out a headscarf in my lifetime and neither will anyone in your family.
