Some mistake surely: according to the professor from Tehran interviewed on the radio earlier he was a popular figure with the poor and oppressed and played a leading role in the 1980s in bringing to justice the terrorists from Iraq sponsored by the UK who killed thousands blah blah blah.

He had no ambition to become supreme leader of the country when Khamenei shuffles off. That's just western propaganda 😀.
