That's rich coming from you.

It's not his acting, it's his fundraising of millions of dollars to the Democratic cause that gives him a voice ...

Last month, Clooney joined former President Obama and actor Julia Roberts for a buzzy and record-breaking Los Angeles fundraiser for Biden’s campaign. The event raised $30 million.

But in his New York Times essay, Clooney acknowledged that he observed a difference in Biden at the glitzy fundraiser.

he's not 2 bit

at this point he's better than any of the actual candidates for president lol

Last time I looked TTT didnt have the MSM at his beck and call.  Voicing opinions on a tiny UK web site is not quite the same!

On the OP I agree with Elipsis with regard to Clooney.  He has raised millions so I reckon he should have a voice if not a direct influence.

Seems like some here are against free speech and for cancel culture.

No, its a reasonable question.  No one is saying they shouldnt say it just why do they think their opinion matters more.

Why shouldn't a person express their opinion just because of their job?

He's raised and donated millions to Biden's campaign fund. He also knows Biden personally.

He has more right express an opinion about it than most.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but so-called celebs get reported to a wide audience and so maybe should reconsider whether they should make public announcements. Reality is that being able to entertain (or not) is no indicator of a person's wisdom (or otherwise).

funny millionares supporting wokery socialism, how many homes does mr clooney own, maybe support soup kitchens in LA and drug rehabs, champagne socialists, save the planet but own private jets, not much between republicans or democrats cash wise...

He wasn't always a millionaire.

Has anyone else thought Clooney would be a shoe in if he was running for the Presidency in November?

A really second rate actor, Ronald Reagan, has already occupied the White House so there's a precedent.

TTT is bang out of order on this. As above a "2-bit" actor served two terms as president, a "2-bit" actor was governor of California and the likes of Clint Eastwood and Sonny Bono have been active in local politics.

Anyone can express their opinion on politics - you don't have to agree or even listen if you don't want to. Except for PPE graduates and possibly some trade unionists most people enter politics having been "2-bit" something else. Sir KS was a "2-bit" lawyer. I would value Clooney's comments on politics above those often expressed on here by "2-bit" TTT!

George Clooney is right and talks a lot of sense. The Democrats will not win with Biden standing in November because the electorate will not vote for a gaffe laden geriatric who could not see out a full four year term. They need instead, a well known younger safe pair of hands candidate who can take on Trump.
