Shameless Boris Says He Made A Mistake Apologising For Partygate.
Boris says the scandal from partygate was the downfall of him and the Cons. His apology was the beginning of the end of his days as PM. Now Defiant Johnson, rather than feeling a sense of remorse claims his mistake was to Apologise for Partygate. I was just trying to defuse public anger with pathetic apologies even though I knew nothing about what I was apologising for. And the band played believe it if you like🤣

Boris was stabbed in the back, he should not have apologised, his enemies saw it a weakess and went in for the kill.
Look at all the sleaze now emeging about the current front benchers and see what a fuss was made out of a birthday cake and a bottle of wine. It all was rather trivial to the world outside of the UK, but;
“What do they know of England, who only England know?” Rudyard Kipling
The whole thing was a sham - the cake was a sham - the curry and beer was a sham - and all those in high places who pointed accusing fingers and subsequently sat in judgement knew it was a sham. Two-faced and utterly disingenuous the lot of them - and the country is now landed with the disastrous result. They have nothing to be proud of.
It was part of his downfall. Amongst other things were
1) Lockdowns
2) Furlough
3) Marrying and then obeying a liberal
4) Chasing Net Zero
5) Helping to turn the Tories into the TINO's.
And many other things, but I agree that he should never have appologised. He should have got a friendly liberal copper to investigate and find nothing, just as Sir 2TKS did.
The worst mistake Boris made was bringing Dominic Cummings on-board and the second worst was alienating him.
After that there was a succession of leaks and rumours and counter-briefs; all of which gave ammunition to the 'grey men (and women)' lining up to take Boris' place.
The photographs of Boris holding his glass aloft looked like no party I have ever attended...
