An MP is only automatically barred from sitting as an MP if he is sentenced to a custodial term of 12 months or more.. There is no chance of that because the offence carries a maximum of six months.
If he is imprisoned for a shorter term he can be subject to a "recall petition". If 10% or more of his constituents vote for his removal he must resign and a by-election held. He can stand as a candidate in that election.
