Did anyone see the story in Yesterday's Sun about moslems kicking up a fuss because Ann Summers have a male blow-up doll called Mustafa 5hag. It got the biggest laugh of the day in work.

hey bill barlow, the prophet Mohammed is a key historical figure in the lives of millions of Muslims, he is an inspiration and the teacher of all teachers, he spent his whole life struggling to spread the word of Allah (god) which was 2 submit 2 Allah and move away from sin and ignorance so that we can enter paradise and not get misled by the devil (shaytaan). and how do we repay him by mocking him, fair enuf if u dont want 2 choose his way then dont, but why mock someone thats so important to so many of us??? its distaseful humour and racist, i disagree with how some muslims go about 2 resolve these offensive issues but it shows how passionate muslims are and how much love they have for P Muhamed (peace be upon him) as he was a guidance fo mankind as were the 14,000 other prophets. he was chosen by Allah as was Jesus,as he was a man of good character and practicised monotheism which he introduced to the pagens, zoriastrians, athesists in the form of Islam 1427 years ago,(islam means peace and submision to the will of Allah). fair enuf dont believe in a life after death, day of judgement, heaven and hell, but dont insult the beliefs of those who have done nothing 2 provoke this constant offence. he is beloved to the muslims and his practices and way of life are implemented by many of us in our everyday lives, for someone to mock him is not on. i hope that answers ur question, please ask more if u are still interested.

It's quite simple Bill. They have no logical or reasonable answers. They simply want to cause trouble. If you look on the right websites, you can see videos of western hostages being beheaded in Iraq. Extremely offensive I would say, but people in the West keep a sense of perspective and don't over react. Maybe these moslems would do better by taking the same stance.

I genuinely can't decide whether muslim is serious or whether he's just a bloody idiot. If he is being serious, and he is representative of his lot, then that explains an awful lot.

Also, can somebody please explain to me how this is even remotely racist please - Islam is a religion, not a race.

And finally, anybody who insists in typing in text speak should be beheaded - because I find that offensive, all this 'u' and 'r' rubbish, and clearly where something is offensive calling for a beheading is seen as reasonable by this 'peaceful' religion.

madein,the thing is you have got decent muslims but the majority,and i mean the majority,have no sense of perspective.for example how can a religion take such offence over a blow up doll?how can a religion take such offence over a cartoon?because they are fanatics.if we dont like something we (most of the time)discuss it rationally with out feeling the need to dress ourselves and our children who are too young to have a mind of their own in suicide bomber gear and threaten to blow up the hands that are feeding them.if they feel the need to do that why dont they **** *** back to their homelands.when i say majority i dont mean in uk as it is a minority over here,but worldwide it is majority

Yes, I totally agree with you there sako, whilst there are probably some good people out there who happen to be muslims, they are the exception rather than the rule, the ones that are in Britain are bad enough, I dread to think what they are like in the homelands, although I have a fair idea! Quite a few people have tried to tell me that the extremists who proclaim killings in the name of allah are a small group of terrorists and the majority of muslims are peaceful and don't mean any harm. I'm I the one thats wrong or are they?

There are so many people following this religion that if you were to gather the extremists from each moslem country, and they were then put on TV, doing stupid, mindless acts- you would naturally assume that you were looking at the majority of moslems (due to their sheer number).
We don't get to see the number of moderates- which I'm sure outnumber the extremists overall- because they don't attract or want the attention of the media as they are too busy with their everyday lives to have time to protest or declare war/death on other people.

In reply to this thread, I think the 'doll' caused offense mostly because it came out so soon after the cartoon publications, that moslems felt specifically targetted and ridiculed. Again, I'm not sure how many people protested about this issue and whether they were a minority....If it had happened at any other time of the year, I don't think it would have even made the news as it would most likely have been ignored.

jump79,i have been imformed that the doll in question has been sold for years so it is not a case of it coming out so soon after the cartoons.you mention the moderates in your post also.even though they do not participate in the attrocities the majority will still claim that it is justified,again i do not include the muslim community in britain.my veiw on muslims is that you have two groups,extremists,who carry out the dirty work and fanatics,who agree with it.
