Did anyone see the story in Yesterday's Sun about moslems kicking up a fuss because Ann Summers have a male blow-up doll called Mustafa 5hag. It got the biggest laugh of the day in work.

Still laughing about it now.

I would have thought Extremists and Fanatics would be in the same group(or is there a difference?), as both tend to go to extremes in terms of religious practices, actions and in their views too.
Why do you think the majority of moslems, who are moderates support/justify their actions? Do you assume this because they are passive and don't hold daily protests to declare that they are against all forms of terrorism and extremists ?

the way i see it with the two groups is that the fanatics are just that, fanatical about their religion and the extremists take it to the extreme.it is a very fine line between the two and it does not take much for the fanatics to cross it.it is demonstrated time and time again when a small group starts trouble in iraq.when they start getting the upper hand every man and his dog joins in and that is the line crossed.in the first gulf war we took many prisoners and gave them water and any food we had.they were actually ******** themselves in case we treated them the way they would have treated us.i can safely say if the war had went the other way we would lucky to have been alive.i know it is not just muslims as has been shown in with the serbs and many other conflicts but it is the muslims insistance of making mountains out of molehills of everything that annoys them that really ****** me off and the severity of their "justice"ie blowing everyone up and beheading every one,to the people who create the annoyance

I agree about the 'justice' system in muslim countries--- it's outdated and too harsh for even minor crimes (on the other hand, the crime rate in muslim/middleEastern coutnries is pretty low). If you are talking about beheadings/bombings carried out in Iraq or any other place etc- that's just barbaric and carried out by terrorists with motives relating more to a political rather than religious agenda.
You will find extremists in places where people are and have been repressed for quite a long time, for example- Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia... and if you are judging All muslims by what you may have seen in these countries then your view is likely to be very distorted.
