They would say that they were going to ship immigrants back to where they or their families came from and give us all the jobs they do but in the end they would become as corrupt as all the other politicians in the past and do nothing whilst lining their own pockets!
The rest of us regardless of whether we were born here or not would be expected to pay!

Even if one assumes that the BNP won a clear majority (a thought as horrifying as it is thankfully entirely improbable) the House of Lords would prevent any proposed legislation concerning (e.g.) 'forced repatriation of anyone who looks a bit funny'. Some of what the BNP proposes is of a generally more benign nature and would presumably be subject to the normal ebb and flow of British politics.
The BNP would be highly unlikely to make a good government due to a lack of experience (and their tendency to be phuqwits). The civil service would undoubtedly inform them of the reality of the situation and this would stop many policies in their tracks.
There would undoubtedly be much more rhetoric about race and imigration, given that speakers in the Commons have a certain degree of liberty to spout whatever nonsense they like without their being consequences or obligation to back it up with facts. This in turn might spill over into general society, but given that the question postulates a BNP win, we're already assuming that the knuckle-dragger quotient has increased by a phenomenal amount, so perhaps that would already be in evidence.
The other thing that would happen is that the British public would quickly realise it had made a terrible mistake and rectify it as soon as possible.
As a black man, I now know how the Jews in Germany felt in 1935.
I've just taken time out to read the BNP 2005 manifesto (this is the most recent one available on the net). It makes pretty grim reading if you're not white,
Hypothetically if the BNP won at the next General Election...ethnic minority professionals like me would probably take their skills to another country...ironically leaving unskilled manual workers who are the very demographic that the BNP want to displace.
I think internationally, the country would find itself isolated...but I don't know...it's just too extreme a circumstance to fully comprehend.
"As a black man, I now know how the Jews in Germany felt in 1935"
With all due respect - no you don't.
Unless, I have missed somehting, you are still a citizen of Britain and not a subject, and it is not illegal for a black person to marry or have sexual intercourse with a British citizen.
Leedsrhinos - I am not sure how you can ask for "sensible answers only" when you ask a non-sensible question. We are around 4 years away from a general election with only local elections taking place soon. The BNP do not even have enough candidates to stand for parliamentary elections in 300 constituencies.
Hi Vic, As a man with a Jewish wife I don't think Sp has insulted anyone. The Nazi party's manifesto certainly didn't include "oh yeah and we'll build loads of concentration camps and wipe out 12 million people".
Things are always pitched more subtley than that, positive spin works wornders for such inhuman morons. The BNP scare the s**t out of me. I know they are unlikely to get very far and lets hope they get no real power at any point, but sp has a very valid point, they are at the end of the day football thugs who have formed a political party with deviant white supremacist views. I think it's wholly appropriate that we should all be worried sick that the less bright members of the public buy into their speil. Evil always wears the widest smile.
I agree with sp1814 about the isolation of Britain on the International stage if a party like the BNP came to power.
I doubt the United States would view Britain as a friendly ally and would be too concerned about upsetting its own African-American, Hispanic and influential Jewish lobbies to maintain a 'special relationship' with us.
Europe could well evict us from the EC, which may prove popular with many people, but not if it included exclusion from NATO as well.
I think the emerging economies of China and India would not look kindly on a nation that began to evict large numbers of British citizens who happen to be ethnically Chinese or Indian. These nations could well retaliate economically and cease abiding by agreed limits on the number of cheap goods they export to us and flood our markets with products our own industries cannot hope to compete with.
The BNP could, in a fairytale world, win the hearts and minds of disenchanted white Britons, but they would lose on the global economic stage because so many of the ethnic groups they despise are members of the economic powerhouses of the 21st Century. If we show racial disrespect to them, why would they show any economic mercy to us?
Well you noly have all the trendy liberals and champaign socialist to blame if they did.
Oh and I see we have resorted to name calling again. I would be very careful about assuming all these people to be ignorant and thick. I doubt it very much many in Hitlers thrd reich were very clever - and they are the ones to worry about.
The only way to stop this madness is for mainstream parties to recognise what the majortiy want. They dont want wholsale 'shipping back' of anyone slightly tinted they just want a sensible immigration policy that benfits us all, They also want to see justice for victims and they do want ot put the Great back in britain, we are british and should be proud of it. Those that want to change our country into something that suits their own weird pc idillic fashion are the ones we should ship out. They will be the ones that get the BNP in.
If you think it may never happen, just look how worryingly close other european countries have got.
Sadly, youngmafbog many of the Nazi leaders were not thick as is indicated by the IQ tests they took during the course of the Nuremberg trials. See the attached site.

These were laws that were brought about by the government of the day. To compare this to a recent poll (Joseph Rowntree) which said that up to 25% of people had CONSIDERED voting BNP is farsical.
The BNP is a political party with NOT ONE member of parliament and a small handful in local councils.
I can't imagine living in a country where you are a second class citizen in the eyes of the law. Where you are told who you can and cannot marry by the authorities.
This is in no way similar to living in Britain today.
Its as ludicous as saying, I know exactly how those Ethiopians feel - I haven't eaten anything since breakfast.
Of course it would be tragic if it ever happened, and I hope everybody is right in saying that it never will. But we must remember that Hitler achieved power entirely by constitutional means, shortly after he was considered a no-hoper. He was helped immensely because Germany had an unpopular government, which the people saw as having given too much away to France. Does that sound familiar? As Edmund Burke said "All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing". And yes, I know about the terrible over-simplification.
Ah Waldo, so sarcasm will make them go away now will it ?
As I pointed out earlier there are some clever people behind this, they are not the sterotype you paint and are much mre dangerous for it.
Name calling and sacasm do not help. It brings you to their level.
Rule 1. Never underestimate and enemy.
Hopefully the mainstream parties will see sense and kick liberal/PC politics, which only appeases a minority also, into touch bringing the electorate back to them.
Dont hold your breathe though I suspect this will go much further before we finally get the wakeup call.
Having said that read an interesing article in the Standard yesterday about "other" political groups springing up which seem fairly innocuous but have direct links to the NF.
If I had a choice from the BNP or anothetr Labour stint I would categorically choose the BNP. Take away their views on repatriation (which is now tamed to voluntary with generous resettlement packages, as opposed to forced) their manifesto sounds OK.
Better deal for pensioners, better deal for working people, better hospitals, better schooling, corporal and capital punishment re-introduced, less crime and better schooling.
Nick Griffin has a law degree from Cambridge. I know it was a 2:2 but still is probably the most educated wannabe leader. and the fact he comes from stock (I believe his father was a Tory MP, correct me if i am wrong)
Like any political party, IF they got in to power they would change to accomodate the current spin, like all parties do.
So....to answer your question if the BNP came to govern this country, the UK will be be better in some aspects but rather draconian in others. Overall better than Labour but a bit too harsh for a Liberal like me.
