Pub Poker

Caught a snippet yesterday on Radio1 about pub landlords being prosecuted if people are playing poker in their pub. Didn't catch the whole story, so not sure on the context of the report.
Can anyone elaborate?

essentially betting is allowed for small stakes in games of skill. What constitutes a "small stake" and skill are open to interpretation.

I actually thought it was only specific games that were allowed in the pub. Dominoes, Crib, Shove Ha'penny...
then only for small stakes.

I think they may only be bothered about people playng for large amounts. We generally tend to buy in for �5 ish then play with chips. Winner tyakes all

I think there is a forthcoming Court case,the argument is that is Poker a game of chance or is it a game of skill.If the court decides it's a game of skill then it should be ok to play it in a pub.
