Why were there no arrests made, over this incident? And why was this not given wide TV coverage? Is it not time Burkas were banned once and for all?

In the mail article, third picture down there is a male with his face masked. Those of you protesting about cultural rights, where is the justification for this male to try and hide his identity. My opinion is if these people wish to protest about the jailing of others, who were guilty of shouting inciting remarks about bombing Britain etc , then it makes them morally no better.
ruby27 I wondered how long it would be before you surfaced with your usual insignificant reply
I can not make up my mind as to be insulted because you view my responses to be insignificant or to be flattered as you wondered how long it would be before I answered, therefore you had obviously been thinking about me. On the whole I will opt for flattery and consider whether I should develop a crush on you. I will let you know if I do start to fall in love.

I am amazed at this exchange. We talk about these same issues in America. I too am tired of being forced to be politically correct and worry about who I'm offending now. We too have leeches who suck our public resources dry:Housing, Medical Care, education, food stamps etc.
OFF TOPIC SORT OF:
My mother doesn't qualify for a home health aide b/c she had the nerve to work her whole life, pay taxes, and own a home. But if she was illegal, on welfare, and popping out babies one after the other, they'd be knocking down the door. No onw would help me if I went to their country,(not that I'd want too)

As selfish as it sounds, I sometimes feel grateful that there's this anger and hatred towards muslims, asians, blacks and gays.
I'm a white straight British male. And if these unwanted 'outsiders' weren't around to attract all this ire, I hate to think what would happen.
The antipathy springs from the deep-seated sense of powerlessness and weakness. Got a rubbish job? Can't afford a decent holiday? Embarrassed by your lack of qualifications? Afraid of change? We don't like to think that any of this might be our own fault. So we flail around, looking for a scapegoat.
So thank god for the minorities. If they weren't around to take the kicking, who's to say that the knuckle-draggers wouldn't take their insecurities, bitterness and resentment at their own impotence, failures and failings out on the likes of me?
So that's that sorted. Next patient please, Valerie.

The point I was making is:
Muslims protesting in the Uk about being oppressed, victimised whatever.
I'm not bothered if they were born here or not is of no consequence to me the fact being the UK is NOT a muslim country. Eegardless of whether they were born here or not the UK provides them with decent housing, education, healtcare and various other benefits and freedom of speech.
Would this be the case in Iran, Iraq, Pakistan or wherever? yeah right.
It is a basic case of biting the hand that feeds you and is basically taking the pi*s and if you can't see that then you really are stupid.

My point was that anti-Muslim feeling, like anti-black feeling or anti-Irish feeling in days gone by fills a basic need among many many people. And if Muslims, blacks or whoever you hate today weren't here, you'd find someone else to turn on.
Yes, you would. I'm a sad but true psychological and sociological phenomenon.
Example:
An opinion poll taken in Hungary showed that Piresian refugees are more hated than any other group. Even those who admitted to disliking Arabs, Chinese and Romanians, said the Piresians were worse. The group who are statistically most likely to have the strongest feelings are elderly, far-left women from northern Hungary. It's widely believed the Piresians mix their beer with blood, have the evil eye and are hideously ugly.
Piresian immigrants of course don't exist. They were made up by a research institute to test the level of xenophobia in Hungary.

"If you don't like it here don't live here simple, it's not like your arms being twisted."
I couldn't agree more.
Take a trawl through Answerbank and you'll find dozens and dozens of people complaining that they don't want to live In Britain and that the place has gone to the dogs.
Funnily enough, none of them are Muslims. They're the whinging 'send them home' brigade. They're free to do one as well. I'll carry their bags if they like?
