George Bush and his cronies have been talking up a war with Iran ever since they invaded Iraq and now it seems thay're gearing up to move in for the kill. Again as with Iraq, there is little to no evidence to back up their claims for this invasion. Also as with Iraq, if they go ahead with the invasion of Iran there will probably be hundreds of thousands of innocent people killed. This American administration is made up of a bunch of religiosly intolerent crusaders with a messed up power hungry money driven agenda. I don't think we as a society can sit back and watch this time as they go in and destroy another country. What can be done to stop this warmonger?

I was in the U.S earlier this month and whilst driving along the highway there was a huge billboard with the faces of Saddam houssan, Osama Binladen and the Korean president. Saddams face had a huge red cross over it. Obviously I know why his face and Osama Binladens was on there but being a bit thick, why was the Korean president on there?

andrea, you are well-meaning but quite naive. The reason that the world has remained free of GLOBAL conflict is precisely because the big hitters such as USA have maintained a large deterrent nuclear arsenal and powerful conventional forces and have used them in defence of the values of the West, which like it or not is where you live, and it is thanks to the vigilance of the West that you are alive and free. It would be a very different life for you if you were a young woman in Iran.

It's not nievety! My husband served in Iraq and I had to come to terms with the reasons he was away for six months. But you are forgetting that Clinton kept the piece, but didn't stage an illigal War for no REAL reason.

So you think that Iraq were just on the verge of blowing us all to bits and we should be oh so grateful that bush saved us from a mad man!

Perhaps if some of the middle eastern countries had a nuclear capability they would be less inclined to wage an underhand terrorist war.

Or does nuclear deterrent translate to "a country we don't like may be working towards a nuclear capability so lets invade them".
