To say this thread is sick is a tad little O.T.T.

We are all entitled to our opinions weather you like it or not. it seems clear that you feel that the Mc Canns have done no wrong doing, so therefore you base your opinion that people are ''sick'' because they have somewhat different views to the Mc Canns involvement as to yours.

How about we all just agree that the Mc Canns are innocent for your benefit, if this is not to your taste, may one suggest you either do not make personal comments or post elsewhere

Hi, Firstly I would like to say I did not mean to offend everyone on the board, I thought I had made it clear on my orignal post that I was only referring to some of the people who had responded. I would also like to say that did not say I thought they were innocent. That is not my call. Nor is it relevant to my original post. All I am trying to say is that it seems to me that the thread was created to ridicule the McCann family, the fact that the question is simply entitled 'The McCanns-what are they like eh?' is evidence of that ( in fact it compelled me, wrongly, I admit, to brand the thread as sick). This is in stark contrast to other threads which seem to have a particular issue to discuss, such as the developing story of DNA evidence found in their car etc. Such threads appears to be aimed at discussing issues of some import to the case, and are therefore appropriate. But on this thread I have read comments about leaving car doors open and children falling out, which although is meant to lighten the mood does is not really in particularly good taste nor indeed is it likely to be relevant. My intentions were not to slate everyone who contributed to the thread, rather, those whose primary aim is not to raise the real issues surrounding the case but to create a discussion focused on belittling the McCanns.

I agree with that lotdot, although this question in isolation is set in such a way as if to make fun of the McCanns, and yes, in my opinion the ridiculing comments come as a direct result of certain individuals' resentment towards the people in question. Just don't think it's particularly constructive to start of a thread in this way.

perhaps those that criticise those of us who think leaving your kids alone in a foreign country whilst going out when they are 3 and 2x2 is wrong should realise that that is NOT an acceptable way to bring up their kids, and try to justify the McCanns bad parenting as it somehow reflects their own.

I for one have NEVER EVER done anything to ever endanger my children. however, before i accused of it I am not perfect, just put my kids before my nightlife
