i agree, the picture of the girl does look younger than maddie and also smaller, and could you imagine carrying around a 4 year old on your back it would cripple you, although it does look like her from a distance, time will tell and im sure experts will let us all know. the dna results thing has gone quiet, or have i missed the results somewhere?
Whist it is difficult for us to determine whether that IS Maddie in the photograph, there is no doubt that its publication has caused some of the 'it woz the parents wot dun it' brigade to concede that she MAY still be alive.
Until the forensic wizards work their magic on the image, no-one including poor Gerry and Kate will know.
Naturally, there is a large number who are still clinging tenaciously onto the 'the parents shouldn't have left them alone' and are unwilling to move past that point; but I don't find that actually helps the argument at all, and they seem curiously reluctant to sympathise with these grieveing parents.........
Which brings me onto the 'Friends Reunited update'............perhaps in the endless, dark, hellish nights Gerry has been despondently trawling the internet, trying to find comfort and solace and distraction and it popped into his head to update his profile - there's another couple of minutes got through, etc. I've spent nights like that............obviously whatever was preventing me sleeping has no comparison to what he is going through, though.......
I can't understand quite why so many people can only see the negative in anything done by the McCanns. They can't do right for doing wrong.........

I am in agreement with, Jackthehat, on this.
If they make a noise - protesting too loudly.
If they stay silent - why aren't they speaking out ?
They remain calmly digified - ooh, aren't they cold ?
They show emotion - it's just for show.
Anything 'positive' their friends/family say - well they would sya that wouldn't they ?
Anything 'negative' complete strangers say - ahhhh, well that'll be what happened then.
I think we have to get passed the fact that the children were NOT where the adults were eating.............obviously the risks that the McCanns were prepared to take were far greater than they had realised on that night.
I think the fact that the Portuguese Police have been shown to have behaved like incompetent buffoons and have fudged and disembled and planted false stories in the press and are desperate to point the finger away from themselves is far more worrying.............
