I'm not condemning or condoning, but I'm just trying to see sense. This applies to Muslim veils, Teddy bears called Mohammed, Sikhs carrying "ceremonial" swords in Britain, drinking alcohol in Muslim countries, etc, etc, etc.

If a person goes to the Sudan, does he get a warning at passport control that says "Do not give a childrens toy the name of Mohammed? It is bloody ludicrous. If muslims themselves cannot agree that this was offensive, then how in hell is this teacher supposed to know? All British people who travel to muslim countries should be given a disclaimer when they exit the UK saying that if they are going to an Islamic country, then they travel at their own risk. Anyone who does this in future is an idiot, and should not look to the British government to bail them out. I am not criticising this poor teacher. I am referring to anyone who travels to these places in the future. now that we know how easily you can lose your life or liberty in these places. Stay away. If ever there was a picture that did more to damage the image of Islam, it was the one of a man wielding what looked like a ceremonial knife, and the mob baying for this schoolteachers blood. Barbaric! I do not want anything to do with people who have beliefs like this. Is this what the Koran teaches?
