Well, apart from being born here, and not wanting to see ISLAM take over the country, I expect I have contributed very little. It's no skin off my nose if the bearded Imams bring their message of peace to bear upon us all. Which will include you cazzaz, make no mistake.

It's not a matter of tolerating. If you are white and Western (are you?) then you need to be desperately concerned.

You will TOLERATE it ????? What an admission of defeat. Toleration however will not be enough, peace huggies will be a thing of the past. ISLAM means submission, not joining together and happily getting on with all different cultures. Your descendants will have reason to 'thank' you.

This is a strange question. Being Moslem just defines someone's religious beliefs. If someone had posted a question, asking if Christians are good for the UK, it would seem very odd.

Not all Moslems have fundamental beliefs. I imagine most are like any other person, concerned for their futures, livlihoods, families etc.

As for are they good for the UK, anyone from any background, religious faith, creed or race has the ability to make positive contributions to society.

We have teachers, doctors, nurses, business people and lawyers who follow Islam, so I would say yes Moslems have as much value to the country as anyone else. We have good and bad people from all walks of society. It is very unfair and ignorant to tar everyone with the same brush.

yes they are good for the uk.............they blow all our tube stations up killing hundreds of people therefore creating jobs for the funeral directors and the devestation they cause create loads of building jobs yes trhey are brilliant for the uk.........not................

I think the person who said that Islam is only a religion is living in cloud cuckoo land. It is much more than that. It is a culture, a way of life that is not compatible with western society.

Thank goodness not every Catholic Irish person in the 70's, 80's and early 90's were not all branded as terrorists. However, judging by most of the answers here, they probably would have been.

Whiffey - First of all let me tell you that you are sounding more racist to me than any thing else. As you keep on bringing "White" in it. Problem with people like you is that they see someone who blew trains on 7/7 as Muslims and Pakistanis, but when it comes to winning silver medal in Olympic then Amir Khan is British and not Muslim or Pakistani. In fact there is no difference between all these people, they were all born here.

Many said about doctors, teachers and so on. But I would say that yes Islam opposes Alcohol, homosexuality, adultery and few other things. Now I am a Muslim but I will not go and start killing people for doing that. Instead I would let people learn themselves and consequences of all these things are there in the media and any one with ears and eyes can see that and you do not have to be a rocket scientist to understand.

As far as Jews and Christians are concerned, there is a verse from Quran that the one who kills one person, is as he killed whole human kind and the one who saves one person, is as he saved whole human kind. That does not talk only about Muslims but any human. It is not only about killing or saving a life of anyone from specific religion, race or colour.

Now the last bit, Islam is spreading here and yes that is because it is the true religion which gives you answers to all your questions. People call it women oppressing religion and in the west more women are embracing Islam. So there must be a reason. Think about it.

i used to view amir khan as fighting for the whole of britain and then after beating one opponent proclaimed 'this is for all my muslim brothers'i do not know what fight he said it after but after that statement i thought that if that such a statement was said by frank bruno like 'this is for my christian brothers' there would have been a national outcry......now i want to see khans head get exploded every time he gets in the ring and it will happen 1 day.........
