Big difference is Spanish children, by and large, know how to behave, British children, by and large, do not.

Correct lofty and cab, Spanish children would not be left alone, BUT must feel sorry for the parents who will have to live with this forever..........we all make mistakes some time in our lives.

Sqad I lived next door to a Spanish family with two young boys. and we all helped each other with the languages.
The grandparents too are valued and not stuck in homes as is the case here.

Until spring this year I had a villa on the algarve, I got rid of it after the most appalling behaviour and utter incompetence of the portugese police, I had my car stolen, I reported it to them, as one would, and despite many visits to the local police station was assured that it was probably re-plated and sold on into morocco or somewhere, but during my frequent visits to check on progress of the investigation, needing my car back, but more importantly some personal belongings left inside, I actually saw my car in the police yard, on investigation I discovered that a portugese policeman had been using it for months, try challenging them if you will, the closed ranks there are impenetrable, they know they are utterly incompetent but couldn't care less, particularly with the brits who in their minds are just stupid cash monkeys!! I feel truly sorry for the Mcann's ok they made a small error, but how many of us make a small error without such disastrous consequences, I personally believe that Maddie is still alive, taken by a morrocan woman, blond children are taken as much prized there, I do hope and pray that I am right, lay off the Mcanns if you please, those in glass houses should avoid throwing stones, If anything like that happened to you, would you have the guts to go public big style!!!, Gerry and Kate, if you're out there, I pray for you, love, Prudentia

I hope she is alive and found, but in my heart I don't think this is the case.

I think it's a tragedy and I feel for the parents, family and friends.

So are summer holidays, that includes eating out in the evening, and if like the Mcanns your children are at an age where they are too worn out from the holiday kids club from which they were at whilst the parents enjoyed their private tennis lessons, you stay in with them instead of going out with your friends and check up on them every half hour or so
