I can't comment about the action of the police on that occasion, because they work in a different way to ours, but I know from experience that they can be a bit "slow" anyway when dealing with tourists' problems. I sincerely hope that one day, Maddie'll be found safe and well, but I have my doubts. The McCanns, in my opinion, showed a terrible lack of good parenting during that holiday, and although the post wasn't concerned with this aspect of the sorry tale, the fact remains that had they been there with their children - as they should've been - none of this might've happened.

I never took my children on such hols abroad till they were school-age. Earlier hols were caravans & camps where closer vigilant is necessary with tots. But finances were less then. Even with the utmost care & attention accidents do happen as with a tot yesterday in Paris Disney.

I just feel it more productive to concentrate on the kidnap of Maddie than hounding the parents. The Q was is she alive...I feel she is. Just intuition.

Thats very harsh No.k. It suggests a deliberate action which I don't believe was the case. Reports were there was a stalker at the hotel. However its all too long ago to be factual.

Thank goodness the child has distinctive eyes that can be spotted. I hope this latest publicity returns the child, and it can only help to keep the case alive.

Each Christmas, this is going to rear it's head. In my opinion the parents and the media,should try and get on with other matters...not easy I know and remeber that the Mcanns' have other children that need their "undivided" attention. Asnother thought I have said before, there is an 80% chance that she was dead within 48hrs of being abducted.
Another thought...had the parents not been a GP and a Consultant Cardiologist and a single mother living on benefits in an inner city, would this story still be alive? I fear not. Let's put it to bed now.

My 12 year old neice wa killed last week when she was hit by a van. Devastating to say the least but at least her parents can say goodbye to her. It must be horrible for the McCann's not to know what has happened to their little girl, especially thinking she could be with paedophiles. It just doesn't bear thinking about.
