Why does everyone hate Andy Murray? Is it English racism rearing its ugly head again? They don't like black people, they don't like Scots, is there anyone they do like?

it is a tribal phenomenen R1, sweaties as in sweaty socks, Jocks, does it matter, the kids got talent!
Errrm, where's DS now???
started and couldn't finish as another Scandanavian was famous for saying, but he" I've started so I'll finish"
you are conspicuous by your absence DS???
I don't care whether he wins or loses. Not because he isn't English and not becuase he is Scottish.

I don't care simply because I don't like Tennis.

I couldn't give a tinker's cuss if the Austrailians win the Ashes either.

However - come on the Lions, let's stuff the South Africans!!! (the Lions, hmmm, a team of various countries).
It shouldn't matter where he comes from. Scottish, English or alien - if he plays well, that's all there is to it.
How can you like a humourless Scottish git who dislikes the English.
The anti-English football comment................a joke?........no way.

It is like convicts who find God when they go to prison.
Ice Maiden....nonsense.....so you would support an AlQueda tennis player if he was that good......would you?
That's silly squad. Someone like that wouldn't BE playing professional tennis.
Ice Maiden....perhaps not....LOL but I couildn't think of anything else.....LOL
Touche - but I seriously don't think it matters where the guy's from - nationality-wise. I think he's quite good...but he IS miserable-looking. : )
.....PMSL sqad.....imagining Serena match point down to someone wearing a burqua........
Ice Maiden....yes he is, but when youi see Nadal and Federer interviewed, they smile and bits of humour get thrown in....but NOT Murray.
Plus he has that arrogant demeanour.............problem is, that he reminds me of ME at that age.LOL
Hey Flip Flop. If you realy think the Lions have any chance of beating the Boks. I think you should start taking an interest in tennis. BOKE ! BOKE ! BOKE !
ah yes, the Williams Brothers - scary.
I was just answering the question.I'm not a great Tennis fan but it'd be great if he won it for Britain, even if he is a dour jock!

Gromit, I think winning a world title at your sport generally means you are something other than a no hoper. Still never miss a chance to swipe at the English eh?
I've just been watching Murray's match this afternoon and he has just been interviewed by John MacEnroe. He was tolerably articulate and got most of the words out properly. I sincerely wish him all the best, and I hope he wins the Title and ungrumps a bit. There is room for all shades in tennis, even Scottish (within reasonable limits)
Ah, yes, there's nothing quite like the articulation of the Cockney, Geordie, Scouser, or Brummie, is there?
especially the Geordies paraffin!!!
I have to apologise for my last: I forgot Bristolians and Wurzels. Wouldn't like to leave anyone out.
you are indeed very thoughtful paraffin..lol
DSnewsKE . What ? Were all those people cheering him on Scots ?
I dont know what all the fuss is about he couldnt beat a dusty carpet!!
federer know theres a tennis player and before u say murrays beaten him was it once out of 50 mmmm!!
