Tories -failed, Labour -failed...should we perhaps just give the LIb Dems a chance now??

Good question...if I lived in an area where the Conservatives and LibDem were neck and neck with Labour trailing, I would certainly consider voting Liberal.

However, I live in a very strongly held Labour constituency, so it's not an issue.
I would first ask in what way they had both failed ?
Also what did the LibDems do when they joined up with Labour under the Calaghan Labour government ?
No I would not vote LibDem . I would rather vote for a minority party who most represented my views.

The lib dems go with the party that wins the election.
yes and yes - it would be interesting to see if they would fare any better than sleazy labour and sleazy tory - also if they managed to introduce PR it would perhaps open things up for all parties including the minor ones, and the voter would perhaps have some real influence (under PR) over policies the three major parties tend to ignore - like the EU, Immigration and War.
The only reason that the libs dont appear to be as sleazy as the rest of them is that there aren't as many of them !
