Black, White or both?

I know I am once again walking on dodgy ground, but in the interest of a debate, is this study completely correct?
Yes one cannot doubt that some mixed persons are more attractive than some solely Black persons or some solely White persons.
But isn't the attractiveness down more to the influx of the White gene than the Black gene?

Yes, you are on dodgy volcanic ground here Oldgit - it is the last sentence that seriously does it. That's a pretty rascist comment in my opinion. And it's sad that for Centuries 'Whites' have looked down upon 'blacks' as being superior in every way that it is a hard struggle for some 'blacks' and 'asians' to fight against this rascism and appreciate their heritage in every way. Toni Morrison examines these attitudes in her books I vaguely remember one in which the 'black' child wants to be a blond like her doll or something.
Actually saying that I know a 'black' girl who will only mix with 'white' people and looks down upon her 'kind'. This is extremely sad but the girl has been brought up with the rascist ideology that the closer one looks in appearance to a 'white' the prettier they are. And that's not true. I blame the Empire.

No it is not racist to highlight the obvious, we are talking about facial attractiveness nothing more, and it is wrong for you to group the Asians with Blacks.
From an anthropology point of view it is an unfortunate fact but of the three races European, Asian, and Negroid.
Negroid facial characteristics are the least attractive.
By stating this I wish to say that this does not mean that Blacks are somehow inferior in any way, or that Whites and Asians are superior.

No you've totally misunderstood this.
There have been a number of studies that find that on average people from mixed races are more attractive.
That totally flys in the face of your assertion that it is the influx of "the white gene" (which doesn't exist but we'll let that slide).
People seem to find those with a wide genetic gene pool more attractive - It's pretty easy to see why that is a genetic advantage

This is a subject where the lines between attractiveness and fanciability can become blurred...
Objectively I can see that some black people are attractive - take Naomi Campbell for instance, but try as I might, I just don't 'fancy' her, whereas some mixed race and Indian women (for example Halle Berry and Nazaneen Ghaffar) I find absolutely jaw droppingly absolutely gorgeous.
I don't really understand the question AOG poses - surey if you add yellow paint to blue paint or blue paint to yellow paint, the result is the same - green paint. Or am I missing something?

It is not rascist to hightlight the obvious that is true Oldgit but you pass a comment that can be construed as rascist. I told you that in my opinion your comment is rascist, I am not calling you a rascist simply that one comment is such.
I am asking you to consider the weight of your comment. Consider it in the light of a 'black' person who for Centuries has fought against prejudice. Prejudice in that those blacks who resemble 'whites' as in white features are considered more attractive. That should not be the case. Characteristics that define black people should be celebrated in their own right as much as those which belong to other groups.
By pointing out 'attractive colour genes' you raise issues of complex cultural identity. You are one person of many who make up the British survey in relation to this issue.

Ah but those who have sickle-cell anaemia are more resistant to malaria. The characteristic didn't evolve without reason. Things evolve because it makes a species a better fit to the environment, but not necessarily a perfect blueprint. It's a balancing act. So to have sickle-cell anaemia in your race isn't necessarily a weakness; in the environment they find themselves in, it is a strength.
<Dr Lewis and colleagues from Cardiff University’s School of Psychology collected a random sample of 1,205 black, white, and mixed-race faces from Facebook communities, including 'mixed race and proud' and Cornwall-based.
Each face was then rated for their perceived attractiveness to others on a scale of one to 10 by 40 female students.>
Hardly an objective and exhaustive study, then...........
Have you ever taken time to study the variety across African/black 'races' ? There are many who are already 'stunners' without *ahem* benefit of any white genes.
Your prejudices are showing, again.

Interesting, a post regarding comparing the attractiveness of certain races gets 19 answers to date.

What does this say, they are too common place to comment on, or some people have run out of excuses for these gang's actions?
