Anyone For "Sarah's Law"?
233 Answers
Yet another kiddie fiddler has managed to ply his evil trade and has been able to groom at least one more innocent child right under its mother's nose. He has been "severely punished" with a wet lettuce leaf and given 4 months inside. (He may well have been released by the time I've finished typing!)
It proves, does it not, that the present system is deeply flawed? Maybe the introduction of "Sarah's Law", where paedos are "named, shamed" and the address of the sewer they're presently living in is made known to the wider community, would nip such atrocities in the bud?
Or do the "bleeding hearts" win the day again by arguing that the "human rights" of the pervert are far more precious than the safety of innocent children? Woops, no, we daren't risk having vigilante patrols on the streets. No, let our kids suffer instead, eh?

vigilantes attacked the home of a hospital paediatrician after apparently confusing her professional title with the word "paedophile",
Paul Cooper was beaten to death in his flat in Manchester. They apparently mistook him to be a pedophile and he died from head injuries. Police say he has no record of child molestation.
Cooper was unable to fight off the attack, probably due in part to injuries he once sustained in a motorcycle accident. Because of this accident, the 40 year old needed a cane to get around. He was popular at two local pubs.

Vigilantes, good idea lets just have idiots running around beating up (or worse) random people because they are deemed by anyone as a "kiddie fiddler"

I'm intrigued by how you think these communities are going to "nip this in the bud"
I'm rather suspicious that you want details of these people so you can personally gloat whilst a mob of crazed, vengence addled, pitchfork wielding locals hang people from lamposts.
Sounds to me that you just want to see people lynched
But correct me if I'm wrong
Which is precisely why we don't have a "Sarah's law"

Francis Duffy, 67, was attacked close to the Manchester hostel where he lives by a mob shouting abuse and death threats. He suffered a broken wrist, cuts and bruises.
The gang had mistaken him for Brynley Dummett, who has six convictions for sex offences and bears a physical resemblance to Mr Duffy.
Mr Dummett was named and pictured in the Manchester Evening News three months earlier in a warning to residents of the Ancoats housing estate that a convicted paedophile was living in their midst.
He was driven out and moved to Chorlton-on- Medlock, also in Manchester, where local women visited schools and houses, distributing his picture. A mob went in search of the sex offender but attacked Mr Duffy. After the attack on Mr Duffy, Dummett fled and the police have no knowledge of his whereabouts.
what the report fails to mention is the gang of women kicked the innocent old bloke in his privates to make sure he will not want to use it. he was unable to walk round for some weeks.
do you trust the police to get the right info across to all members of the public ?

Whilst I feel the word 'offensive' is much abused these days, the term 'kiddie fiddler' trivialises the crime and I dislike it intensely. Having said that, if the police knew that this child was in danger, then the predator's name should have been made public. When a dangerous criminal escapes from prison, in the interests of public safety, his name is published, and since paedophiles are also dangerous criminals, they should be treated no differently. Furthermore, in my opinion if the police are aware that this man is a danger, he should not be free to prey on children. People like him should be exposed, imprisoned for life, and have all claim to 'Human Rights' denied. The only reason mistaken vigilante attacks such as that described by Dr Filth occur is because instead of being immediately removed from society, these people are left free to re-offend - and it's wrong.
Surely in this scenareo prevention is key. The thing is because of all the publics hate to these people, who would dare seek help. They would be in fear of getting linched by an angry mob of the public. Bearing this in mind the public ourselves are slightly to blame for this. Especially the ones who call them kiddie fiddlers and what not. If they could get help first then many children could avoid being abused. Think about that next time you start a thread like this.
At the risk of being howled down, there are child abusers out there who 'could' benefit from proper counselling, thereby removing the impulse and redirecting their focuses; making for happier and healthier individuals and protecting countless children from their attentions.
The paedophiles who cannot be 'reconstructed' need to be permanently removed from civilised society.
Sarah's Law ought to be a way of protecting those most vulnerable; instead it will become a thugs' charter - a new way, on a drunken friday-night, for certain sections to demonstrate how much they love their children by beating nine shades of **** out of a likely suspect.
