Court Rules In Favour Of "Gay" Asylum Seekers.

A Supreme Court ruling has allowed two homosexuals, from Cameroon and Iran respectively, to gain asylum here in the UK because they claimed that being sent back to their own countries would be detrimental to their safety, as homosexuals.
Is this a humane judgement to be accepted without comment?
Or could it be the opening of the floodgates as a means to bogus asylum seekers merely claiming to be homosexual in order for their applications to succeed?
The only thing which troubles me is: how does one prove that s/he is a homosexual?

So we were right to offer assylum for Jews who would otherwise be killed by the Nazis

but wrong to offer assylum to gays who would otherwise be executed because of what they are?

The sort of thing these people are fleeing is emasculation, imprisonment, flogging, stoning, and funnily enough effeminate males will be gang raped but that doesn't count as it is een as punishment, women may be raped to 'cure them' often by male family members or be forced into marriages... And why should people who want to live quiet but differnt lives be punished....Don't ask Don't tell I believe is the phrase you are looking for... it doesn't work, people forced into hiding are then prey to bullies and blackmail...

Presuming that these so called foreign gays will be in their 20s plus, how come they have survived being gay in their own country so far?

I would make it obligatory for all gays accepted into this country, to march at the forefront of the Gay Pride March each and every year they are resident in this country, and then at the end of the march they should be employed cleaning up the mess.

I wonder how many then would use the excuse that they are Gay?

Incidentally, since most of these new gays will come to Britain from Africa, why don't they seek asylum in South Africa, seeing that they are the only country on the African Continent to accept gays enough, that they conduct Gay Pride marches.

AOG on paper SA is very liberal...but having experienced serious verbal abuse from black south african nurses working in the UK along the lines of I will burn in hell for being a lesbian, and worse... and I know a S A lesbian couple who came to theUK so they could be together and whose families have disowned them I don't think it is quite as they would have you believe.

And would it not seen reasonable to expect under repressive regimes young gay men and women would try very hard to conform, especially under pressure from their families until they are sure of where there inclinations lie... instead of going on the attack.... think things through first you won't see many in their teens and twenties they are still trying to live as straight because they re scared to death of the alternative
