I think a similar thing happened to Henry VIII when he married Anne of Cleves. Saw a painting of her - not bad he thought - and then the real thing arrived!! (To be fair, I don't think she thought a lot of him either).

Rigby and Peller have a branch in Terminal 3 at Heathrow, where many flights go to the Middle East. I have never seen a branch in any other terminal, so someone is buying very pricey quality underwear. I don't know if they do thongs there, as the prices are a bit outside my budget, and at my age I'd look a bit daft.
I have also seen a video of an Iranian wedding, and was amazed at what there is (in private) under the chador.
Is there an R & P branch in any other terminal?

Re hairiness, my sister lived in the middle east for some years, and she said that the biggest shelves in the supermarkets were packed with depilatories. Hairiness on the body is not approved of in some cultures.

@Dave - I did understand you. Probably didn't make myself clear though. Saying that many women (especially around here), even if you can see the whole chimney breast from ceiling to floor, are still of indeterminate gender, so it wouldn't make much difference anyway to the stoker in any case.

And to be honest, most of the 'stokers' around here are too drunk or stupid to care anyway. If it's a fireplace, whatever the fuel, they'll stoke it.
