I agree with sara.......on CB, we have long threads on "happy Birthday" to people who we have never met, only know on AB, we say all the best to people having a hospital appointment, that we have never met, someones father dies,, we say sorry,´although it will never affect our lives, we see pictures of babies, which could be anybodies and anyway who cares a sh1t, we go through every pain and complaint about someones pregnancy, we answer questions and give advice about infidelity.......
So what is the difference?

Before the global news coverage that we now take for granted, it always used to surprise me that quite often in the 'news in brief' column in The Times there would be a report from Asia of yet another ferry overturning, resulting in several hundred deaths, and yet it was never mentioned anywhere else. These accidents with overcrowded ferries still happen but no-one takes any notice.
How did you work that out hopkirk? Originally this post came from counts post asking has there been any serious news which reminded me and hence this thread was born. Look here and please don't presume things.

////JNO, do you know what caused the aircrash? Considering 90% of aircraft accidents are caused by pilot error, i'd be pretty sure it wasn't the planes fault.///
I think you mean Private Air Crashes.............I think that in Civil Commercial Aviation it is the other way round.
Do you watch "Air Crash Investigation" on Sky Discovery Channel?.......fantastic.
