Has Pastor Terry Jones given Osama Bin Laden, an early Christmas present?

Not nearly as silly as it sounds here, Pastor Jones is having a Koran burning ceremony in a little corner of Florida on Saturday, meanwhile thousands of miles away we have young men and women fighting in Afghanistan to rid the world of terrorism!
Already Muslims in Afghanistan and Pakistan have taken to the streets to protest and quite frankly I don't blame them, this 'man of the cloth' and I use the term loosely, wants arresting for inciting trouble...which will have far reaching consequences

yes I agree.. I guess the answer to your question as to Why would God create us this way.. is that... ahem.. God didnt create us!

Or - that there is more than one God... and they created different groups of people.

Personally I believe that religion was created to control people... an amazing innovation to controll the masses with fear that they will burn in hell if they disobey the rules...

Those who say that this pastor is 'standing up to Muslims' - could you confirm...do you think it's a good idea for him to do this, and is your problem with Muslims in general, or just Muslim extremists?

I totally agree here, they complain there isn't enough money going to Pakistan for those poor people dying, yet they either have taken time off work to priest about this or don't work at all,
I wish they would do something useful with their time, which brings me back to my point, if this nutter in Florida hadn't broadcast his intentions, maybe there would be a little less disharmony

Hmmm...now that's the problem - by burning the Koran, Pastor Jones isn't sending a message to Muslim extremists - he's sending a message to ALL Muslims...and surely no-one but the wildest Islamophobe wants to insult an entire faith.

Would be as keen if he had a son or daughter serving in Afghanistan? I think not. IF (and I think he'll back down at the 11th hour) he goes ahead with this braindead scheme, his actions will will merely contribute to the ever growing amount of Allied deaths there.

I find the burning of a Holy book totally abhorrant, regardless of which religion it follows, who does it or why. It's just wrong, wrong, wrong!
