I have read with interest jakes link MM
it has to be substantiated by 3 or more people to prove anything
so it is possible a caution or perhaps wilful damage could be the outcome?
A prison sentence and a haircut would suffice.
Question Author
ha-ha he did resemble Mick Hucknall a bit only he wasn't a ginger minger
He certainly lived up to the stereotype of scruffy university student.
He could be charged with the more serious of the two criminal damage offences, i.e. reckless as to whether death or injury might be caused. Any decent, self-respecting university would send him down permanently.
Question Author
like him....Mick Hucknall
before the Ginger Brigade think I am calling anyone ;)
As has been said, attempted murder cannot stick. This is because attempted murder is a crime of specific intent - ie it cannot be committed recklessly.

I would think most likely charges will be riot, violent disorder or affray (max sentences of 10 years, 5 years and 3 years respectively on indictment). There could be a secondary one of criminal damage (to the fire extinguisher).

The fiire extinguisher one should be let off.
I cannot believe some of the support this idiot is getting, it is not as if he was a child who accidental pushed a heavy planter off a high rise balcony, this guy belonged to our so called intelligent classes, and he did it deliberately.

What if it had been a dummy bomb accidentally released from an aircraft, onto a crowded school playground, would the pilot have got the same sympathetic responses, had there also not been any injuries?
welcome back anotheoldgit i have missed your posts so i put some up :)
