Should Lesley Pilkington be struck off?
http://www.telegraph....-men-go-straight.html
She claims to be able to turn gay men straight via counselling, and agrees that homosexuality as "a mental illness, an addiction and antireligious phenomenon”.
However...if a gay man or woman is genuinely unhappy being gay and wants to seek counselling for a 'cure', shouldn't they have the option?
Or is this reinforcing the idea that homosexuality is a mental illness and that all people are really heterosexual underneath?

So, without sheltering behind the letter of the law, I am yet to be convinced that sexual acts between homosexuals is "natural". No one has ever put up a compelling argument as to why it is, therefore it's not.

Good point sandyRo..
I have not quarrel with homosexual men or women, the ones I know are really nice people and I believe they are born not made. (Unlike paedos who are perverts.) However what about those who are curious, and why would some term themselves as bi-sexual?
What I would like to add to this,is this: Mr Strudwick is the bad guy in this scenario.
He blatantly set this woman up. And because of his hysterical posturing Mrs Pilkington finds herself in the position she is in. She was offering legitimate counselling to assist anyone who was genuinely unhappy about their situation. However bizarre her therapy might be,it is recognised as a treatable problem by a small group of counsellors.

If you think its natural or not why condem it? I'm with Doc it makes me uncomfortble but if I knew a hetrosexual man who liked to go home dress in rubber and beat his wife that would also make me uncomfortable.
I go into my local know most of the people, laugh and joke etc I have no idea if any are gay and if they were it wouldn't bother me.
A lifestyle choice is that and as long as its not anything to do with me get on with it.
I do remember in the 70's when the skinhead gay bashing thing was at its height a psychologist on TV, said the reason that they were so violent was because they had repressed homosexual tendancies, they were scared by them and lashing out was the only way to allay thier fears.
Whenever I read or hear of any vitriolical or illogical attacks on the gay community for some reason that always springs to mind.

Guess I must be one of those "unnatural" hetros? Suppose I'd better sling the missus and try a bit of the "real thing", eh?
Now......how about that big hairy assed binman?..........or that nice limp wristed hairdresser in town? The choice is endless.
Bets on this post being "binned" or "scalped" ? Odds on, I'd have thought.

Mr/s hat, stop prevaricating. You are the one who referred to "evidence to the contrary" when I challenged the claim that homosexuality was "natural".
Now, you either put up, or gracefully admit you cannot (or will not?) substantiate your claim. These little word games you're trying to play are for children.
