It seems the left have a new figure of hate, the amont of general sla66ing Palin is getting is getting to the stage where the public are starting to warm to her. With that in mind do you think she will get more support than she otherwise would? I would certainly love her to win the presidency, anyone who winds up the lefties like her must be doing somethng right!

"God and the Tea Party" - dear Lord.
No, jno, foreign affairs are still a priority in the minds of most Americans (especially two wars ongoing for near 10 years now) that I know, however, the unemployment rate of nearly 10% coupled with the narcissistic, socialist President we now have as well as the mid- term "revolution" are still fresh and thus upper most in most persons minds.

Pastafreak is probably correct since I think she lives on the east coast and it is certainly true that the New York/Boston/Washington D.C. triangle tend towards the progressive/liberal slant more so than the hinterland "Red States" that cover nearly the rest of the U.S. (with the exception of The Peoples Republic of California).

The major problem facing Sarah (excuse me, Ms. Palin) is that many can't reconcile a smart,self-sufficient outspoken woman (handles a gun very well, thank you) combined with a pretty face (and figure).... it's ingrained in our culture to have one set or another, but not both. But, in my opinion, the more the left attacks her, the more those on the right will be listening...
"The people's republic of California." Didn't they elect Arnold as their leader?
So R1Geezer you want WW3 for breakfast do you, because that is the ONLY dish on Ms Palin's menu.
:o/
Luckily she will never get anywhere.
She is from the school of Barry Goldwater and Ross Perot.
When it comes to the crunch America is far more than JUST Alaska!
"Sarah Palin for President?"

U of America would then surely turn into a 3rd world country.

I was quoting from the post by JR369
it was partly the two wars I was thinking of, Clanad: it occurred to me the USA might have had enough of foreign adventures for a while - Britons have, and won't be voting for a bellicose leader for quite a few years.

I'd certainly agree with you that Palin needs to mature. But how on earth can she be seen (as she already is by many) as a potential national leader before she's even done so? That seems to me a sign of a scarcity of plausible Republican candidates. Mature first, then run for office, would be my own preferred sequence of events - and very much the way I'd prefer to see the USA do things too!.
"War is God's way of teaching America geography!"
Palin for president has to be tne end of the world - doesn't it?
Would she send US troops to Armageddon?
She'd create Armageddon!
The choice of president is one for the American electorate alone. The rest of the world has no input, nor should it have.
Answer Bank will hardly sway the American electorate with our speculation. And the election is a long way off
I no longer live in the States...but I did grow up ,and spent a good deal of my life on, the East \Coast-specifically NYC and its suburbs.
The fact that Palin 'handles a gun very well' may epitomise just why I don't like her,and do not want to see anyone of such persuasion in the White House. She may be smart and self sufficient...but she does not speak my language.
Clanad, who are the alternative Republicans for 2012? Not a sarcastic question, I'm quite interested, the trhought of the Palin woman sends shivers down my backbone, to quote a song.
One of the jokes I heard in the US prior to 2008 election was that if McCain were elected and died in office, which seemed a possibility, the Secret Service had instructions to take out Palin!
Shes said her favouite band is the Beatles....so thats her snookered in the southern states...obvisoully

To that list I'd add Tim Pawlenty, governor of Minnesota, Mitch Daniels, governor of Indiana, and Chris Christie, Governor of New Jersey. I would like to see Paul Ryan, a congressman from Wisconsin, in there as well.
