Sarah Palin for President?
It seems the left have a new figure of hate, the amont of general sla66ing Palin is getting is getting to the stage where the public are starting to warm to her. With that in mind do you think she will get more support than she otherwise would? I would certainly love her to win the presidency, anyone who winds up the lefties like her must be doing somethng right!

Look, She's everything the left fears and therefore hates. She's attractive, self-sufficient, anti-abortion (gave birth to and happily raising a Down Syndrome child) and best of all--- she doesn't back down.
She was accused of being the prime mover in the recent attack on Representative Giffords in Tucson, Arizona. Rather than backing into a hole in Alaska, she came out both barrels blazing... hate her or love her, there's no ambiguity in where she stands... refreshing as a wind off Bristol Bay (her home in Alaska), if you ask me (which you didn't)...

R1Geezer - the general perception of SP in the UK - at least in the media, is pretty calm and objective.
It points out her popularity with the right - tended to be seen as the extreme right, and is somewhat dismissive of her as anything like a serious politician or thinker.
While the UK media acknowledges that the electorate have issues with Obama, they certainly do not hate SP, or see her as a serious political threat - merely as a focl point of a right-wing minority who would not trouble a contender of any party in the next campaign.
