Sals ... I'm sure you would, too.
It's one of those things that men find difficult, so they think we'd ALL find it difficult.
They'll tell you that using power tools is "harder than it looks" ... blah blah.
But could you imagine a guy trying to officiate in a Lacrosse game, having to make decisions about the positions of players within the Arc and the Fan, and within the Restraining Lines, when the players are moving about the pitch at a speed that would leave footballers for dead.
THEN they would find out what it takes to control a ball game.
Actually, when Lacrosse umpires get too old and unfit, they could become football linesmen.

Any question along the lines of "can one sex understand or do something better than the other" is just plain stupid! everybody is different and has different skill sets than other people regardless of their sex and there is nothing that either sex can ever claim they alone can do (well other than some obvious physical things!)
ChuckFickens - your point is a fair one, but that's not the cause of this furore.
No-one is questioning the simple fact that there are certain tasks specific to specific genders.
The issue here is that Messrs. Gray and Keys appeared to infer that the lady in question would be unable correctly to understand, much less interperet and enforce the offside rule, simply because she is a woman. That is obvious nonsense, and is an offensive stance to take on the subject.
