Should experts who claim a link between paedophilia and homosexuality be surprised when Our government decide not to use them?

Incidentally - can someone explain why this man's Christianity is an issue? Are his views a reflection of his religious beliefs? Is paedophilia even mentioned in the Bible?

are there any stats for the percentage of attacks on a heterosexual and homosexual basis. Do they have a split for male/female attacks. Possibly worth stripping out the priests as they are a case to themselves I feel - chastity etc etc

this has always gone on unfortunately - I think it is a fact now that more cases are surfacing. When I was at prep-school we had a second master sacked for taking indecent photos of one of my friends down in the garages and I suspect he had done more such as frotting, having been personally scared shitless one night in bed when someone got in alongside me. 3 of us went to the headmaster and that was it, he was out. Today he would have done time. We got sex education moved up the agenda after that incident.

I ahve no evidence, hence the question, but I would think that the paedophilia equates to homosexuality is somewhat a tenuous argument but statistically higher than homosexuality in the population at large. Is it not, and a question to any psychologist here, or roxie if she has been involved in criminal aspects of this, that paedophiles will attack boys or girls, i.e. they see the child not per se the sex of the child as their attraction (and how I hate writing that)?

i posted a link earlier about stats, if i remember rightly the attacks were carried out mostly by males and more predominantly against females, which indicates to me that there is no/ very little link to homosexuality. it also says in the link which i will try and find and repost in a minute, but less than 1% of recorded attacks on children are done by people in authority ie police, religious leaders. hope this helps :)

it doesnt necessarily show homosexual attacks, i will try and find something relating to that, but this link shows the percentage of males, females attacked and the percentage of relationship to the child etc
