What would you do sit on your backside and wait for your benefit cheques to come along or move to another area of the country where there
is work ? . After WW I that's what thousands did, they moved to places like Slough and they found jobs and homes. That's a fact of life all over the world you go to where the work is not expect the work to come to you. Nowadays unless the work is at the end of the road many would rather live on benefits . My family moved six times to find work and my father cycled 12 miles to work every day for years . Life was difficult and I was often hungry but we were strong Labour and my father was a shop steward however we all learnt that Labour ideology was fundementally flawed. There are many people who will live on the state and they are encouraged to do so by the rose tinted spectacle brigade and the unions.
I'm not a Tory and I campaigned for Labour for years but unlike you I'm not blind to those
who exploit our benefit system. As a final comment how is it that thousands of immigrants
come here and find work , whilst we join the dole queues ?
